Ir. Allen Yeung

Government Chief Information Officer
The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

Ir Allen Yeung has extensive business and management experience in the ICT field before joining the HKSAR government in 2015.  He holds a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin, an MSEE from Purdue University and an Executive MBA from HKUST-Kellogg Northwestern University. 

As GCIO, his responsibilities include formulating ICT policies and strategies; leading the e-government programmes; promoting and developing ICT industry as key business and economy driver; and bridging the digital divide.

Ir Yeung was the Chief Corporate Development Officer of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.  He started his career in 1987 in the Silicon Valley, working for many hi-tech companies.  In 1995, he relocated to Hong Kong to further his career development, and served in several senior management positions for multinational enterprises and Hong Kong listed companies.

Ir Yeung has contributed significantly in promoting and developing the innovation and technology industry in Hong Kong and the region.  He has served on many councils and advisory committees in the ICT industry associations, business angel networks, engineer professional bodies, as well as educational institutions.

Ivan Chan

Ivan Chan is the Managing Director responsible for Digital Transformation and Innovation in Greater China. Ivan is responsible for leading large-scale Digital programs for clients across industries, with key focus on Digital Customers and IoT/ Platform-driven transformation. Having worked with both industrial and consumer-facing enterprises, he offers clients unique value propositions in new product and new business development enabled by Digital.

Prior to joining Accenture, Ivan had similar Digital/ Technology Strategy capacity with McKinsey and Ernst & Young. He had also incubated two technology start-ups for MNC in Asia.

Ivan had a Master of Engineering from UBC, Canada, and an MBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Benson Ng

Benson Ng is a Partner with EY Advisory in Hong Kong.  He lead EY’s Greater China Digital Hub (network of 200+ digital professionals in Greater China) aiming to help client to solve business problem leveraging digital.
 

He is a seasoned consulting professional with 18 years of global experiences in digital business advisory (big data analytics, experience-led transformation, innovation as a service, digital operation optimization) and business transformations.  Benson has advised automotive, multinational and technology and companies around the world.
 

Benson has been a regular speaker and participant with various universities, industry seminars and conferences, and client events.  Benson is a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors and has been Selection Consultant to Directors of the Year Awards.
 

Benson graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree and a Master degree on topic of artificial intelligence.

Paul Haswell

Paul specialises in technology (including telecoms and data protection), and advises clients on both non-contentious issues and disputes.

 

Paul is head of the TMT practice, and works across Asia spending time in China, Singapore and Japan. He's a regular speaker on technology matters, most recently advising organisations what they should to if they suspect they have been the victim of a data breach, and is often quoted in the press for his views on legal developments in the technology sphere.

 

Paul has extensive experience of advising in relation to commercial contracts, outsourcing arrangements, complex IT and telecoms projects and the disputes that can arise from these. Paul is especially known for providing level-headed, commercial advice in pressured environments, as well as his personal interest in technology and technological developments.

 

He lectures regularly in Asia, most recently on the topics of restrictive covenants, cyber security cloud computing, data protection and social media.

Paul is on the board for TEDX Wan Chai, where he takes part in arranging their yearly TEDX event bringing together speakers from around the globe to Hong Kong.

Scott is a consulting partner based in Hong Kong where he leads the New Services and Emerging Technologies for US, China and Japan.  He has over 20 years experience across industries (Financial Services, Technology, Transport and logistics, and eCommerce). Scott has helped clients globally understand and leverage the power of Digital, Social and Analytics throughout his career. In his current role he helps understand and design for the China market, bringing global perspective but local designs.  Prior to PwC, Scott spent time in the software industry working with a company that created the first commercial internet technologies

Geoff has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T), having held senior roles or consulting extensively across a number of industry sectors - notably in Telecommunications, Petroleum, IT, Finance, Defence, Retail and Hospitality. Always having a strong technology focus, Geoff has held traditional IT&T staff roles as well as broader R&D, strategic marketing and corporate planning positions.

His career has taken him from Australia, to the UK, the USA and several locations in Asia. Today he is a well-respected technology advisor to several of Asia’s largest companies, especially in the areas of IT strategy, security and governance. He continues, as he has since 1997, to work extensively with the Jardine Matheson Group, one of world’s oldest and largest diversified business groups with some 400,000 colleagues, principally in Asia.

Geoff is an Australian, married with two adult children and lives in Hong Kong. He holds a MBA with a Finance major from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers [MIEEE], a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society [MACS(Snr)] and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors [FAICD].

Marin is a Partner in PwC’s Cybersecurity practice based in Hong Kong with responsibilities for cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems security and enterprise resilience services. With over 25 years of experience in fighting cyber crime and financial crime in various roles in law enforcement, industry and consulting across Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas, Marin has built a global reputation for helping his clients improve their cyber resilience. His experience spans a wide range of industries with a particular focus on critical infrastructure and financial services – sectors with the highest cyber risk exposure. Prior to joining PwC, he held numerous global and Asia Pacific cybersecurity leadership roles in organizations such as IBM, Accenture, Experian, Cyber Agency and others. Marin also acted as an interim CISO for number of his clients successfully delivering IT and cybersecurity transformation projects with budgets of up to US$500M.

Marin is active in the industry and is frequently invited to present at events or to speak to boards of directors, governments and intergovernmental organizations. He is currently acting as the Chairman of the Cyber-Physical Systems Security Institute, is recognised as a Fellow of Information Privacy by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and he holds numerous industry qualifications and accreditations.

Andrew has over 20 years of experience in ICT operation, development, strategy and adoption. He collaborates with industry partners/customers to formulate applied research projects to fill the gap they are facing. He is currently Director in Security and Data Sciences in ASTRI. His group applies and develops analytics and machine learning algorithms and systems for cyber-security analysis. Besides big data analytics and cybersecurity, he has great interest in algo-trading and robo-advisor, technology adoption and Internet business model. He also served as a mentor in ASTRI Innovation Runway, an incubation programme for university students. His mentees won several pitching competitions during the programme and has founded their start-up working in retail big data solution.

Ash Shah

Ash Shah is the Regional CIO for P&C and Chief of Staff for AXA Asia, overseeing IT operations in the 8 countries and a regional office in Hong Kong.  AXA Asia is a market leading insurance player offering a differentiated composite proposition in Life and General Insurance with operational presence in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, China, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. 

 

Prior to joining AXA, Ash held a number of senior roles for Whitbread Group, Financial Conduct Authority (UK financial service regulator), Zurich Financial Services and Adecco on an European and global basis. He holds a degree from the London School of Economics as well as attended leadership courses at IMD in Switzerland.

Nick Charnley

As an internationally experienced Industrial Professional, I have been involved in all aspects of power generation. From design through to construction and commissioning. From operations to asset management.


The various roles I have successfully assumed in my 20-year-long career, from being a commissioning engineer in Australia to heading up global cyber security within an international company, has given me an excellent ability to relate to managers at all corporate levels and from all business sectors. 


Presently I am engaged in Strengthening CLP’s (China Light and Power) Cyber Security, across both our IT and Industrial Control System (ICS) Fleet. I am responsible for the direction and implementation of Cyber Security across all aspects of the business globally. 
Through strong leadership and team engagement, I am bringing together both IT and ICS in order to complement and strengthen each other. I am driving change through collaboration and technical trust.


I am a recognised leader with the ability to drive direction and improvement, while understanding the detailed technical nature of our business.


As an innovative leader, I am working to improve cyber security and helping shape this within the Power Industry. I achieve innovation through strong leadership and team engagement.


I studied Mechanical Engineering and have since continued on obtaining numerous business qualifications.

Dennis Farm

Dennis is an experienced Information and Cyber Risk professional with more than 15 years of international exposure working in a variety of industries and roles, including IT, Audit and Information Security.

 

He holds an MSC in Information Security from Royal Holloway and is an EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker. He has worked for HSBC for close to 6 years and is currently Head of Information Security Risk for Global Markets and Global Research. Dennis has previously worked in organisations including Morgan Stanley, Altria and Protiviti as well as having been an Executive Board Member of ISACA London.

Ravel Lai

Regional IT & Digital Director

Ravel Lai is an IT & Digital veteran with over 25 years’ experience in the retail industry including Fashion, FMCG, Food & Beverage and shopping mall. He rejoined Jardine Restaurant Group HK for almost 4 years as Regional IT & Digital Director managing the IT & Digital teams for both Pizza Hut and KFC in HK, Macau, Vietnam and Myanmar.

Ravel drove a lot of IT projects to provide the key digital platforms for e-commerce, Social CRM and digital campaigns. In 2016, Ravel leaded the Pizza Hut team to win several awards such as HK ICT Gold award, Cloud Excellent award, Marketing Excellent awards and his personal China Top CIO award.

Ravel is not only an IT professional but also holds a MBA major in Marketing. Out of his work, he is a die-hard Liverpool football fan and the driver of his 9 years old daughter.

Shane Read

Shane Read is the CISO for Noble Resources Limited based in Hong Kong.  Prior to this he has been with the Australian Federal Government for the past 15 years, predominantly within the Department of Defense undertaking the role of their Information Systems Security Officer.  His passion in the industry is broad, and while now he favors building the Boardroom’s understand of InfoSec delivering the overall program, his real excitement is playing with new and emerging technologies. He feels the key to InfoSec is in understanding your data, the protections you can employ on that data (CIA&NR) and being able to continue build your cyber maturity.  “If you don’t understand your own networks and external connections you are not placing yourself well to understand an attack”

 

Shane hold a Masters of Policing, Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism from Macquarie University.

Harry Pun

Harry Pun is Director, Cyber Security of Singtel Hong Kong.  He is responsible for managing overall Cyber Security business.  He leads a team of seasoned security experts to provide security solutions, services and consulting to the clients.

 

Harry brings with him more than 20 years of experience in IT and Information Security including solution selling and consultancy in the Greater China region. Prior to his current role, Harry was Head of Business Units & Alliances at Dimension Data managing Solution Businesses.  He also held several key positions with a variety of IT vendors including NTT Security, Verizon Terremark and Symantec.

 

Harry holds Master degree and Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  He is also a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

Ritesh Sarda

Dominic Wheeler

Dominic Wheeler, currently Executive Director Information Systems and Chief Information Officer of Swire Beverages, one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world with exclusive right to manufacture, market and distribute products in Hong Kong, Taiwan, 11 provinces and Shanghai Municipality in Mainland China and an extensive area of the USA.   Dominic leads Swire Beverages* IT Strategy and Directions across Swire Beverages* bottlers managing all aspects of IT including systems development and resources management, infrastructure and innovation. 

 

Prior to joining Swire Beverages, Dominic was Chief Information Officer of Coca-Cola Refreshment (CCR).  Under his direction, the business is improving IT capabilities relative to North America Product Supply Systems, Information Analytics and Business Integration, Customer-Facing support, and Enabling Functions/IT Operations.  At the same time, he has enhanced CCR IT*s operating efficiency and execution, as well as its client-focused and high-performance culture.

 

Dominic was Client Account Lead in Accenture from 2001 until 2014. He provided professional services to Coca-Cola Bottling Investment Group managing client relationships, ensuring quality assurance oversight, leading the development of system-wide operating models, providing escalation/governance support, mitigating program risks and monitoring contract performance as well as Diageo where he was accountable for client expectation management, data protection controls and ensuring adherence to the company's global and local policies, leading a team of 650 people globally.  He was also responsible for delivering strategic IT solutions across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.

Wayne Ju

Mr. Wayne Ju, currently the General Manager of Dynatrace Greater China, is responsible for the strategic planning, marketing and management of the Application Performance Management (APM) in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. MR. Ju is experienced in IT with up to 20 years work experiences in this industry. He has ever been the General Manager of Greater China for years and has ever held important positions in multiple American and Chinese hi-tech companies and multinationals with remarkable achievements.

Before joining Dynatrace, Mr. Wayne Ju was the General Manager of Embarcadero Technologies and had been responsible for the overall business operation of Embarcadero Technologies in Mainland China and Hong Kong.  During his service as the head in Embarcadero technologies Mr. Ju successfully helped the company achieve revenue growth within two years and further doubled size of the company. Before Embarcadero Technologies, MR. Ju held positions of Asia Pacific CSO and then the regional sales manager of Borland. In that period, MR. Ju successfully helped Borland explored and expanded network channels, developed myriad customers, managed to realize revenue growth in difficult market time, and further improved corporate awareness in the market via effective marketing strategy and interaction with users.

With rich industry experiences, Mr. Wayne Ju has in-depth understanding of the current new technologies and market trend which makes him widely recognized as a “technical master” on areas such as virtualization, cloud computing, etc.in the sales circle. MR.Ju’s excellent communication capability, teamwork and strategic consciousness enables him to possess strong capabilities of establishing sales team and managing channel partners, pushing forward sales to cover and penetrate every vertical market, and thus accomplishing the sales target and drive the enterprise to go forward.

Richard Cookes

Richard is the One Identity Country Manager for Australia & New Zealand, with more than 35 years’ experience in the software industry.

Before this role, Richard was the Professional Services Manager for Dell Software in Australia and New Zealand.

He has held various roles in strategy, sales, marketing, product management and project management in Australia, Asia and US.  Richard has worked for various companies such as Philips, Attachmate, ActivCard, ANZ, CGU and Dell Software, as well raising money and founding startups.

Today, One Identity is a pioneer of the Privileged Access Management space, being in this market for 16 years

KP Unnikrishnan

KP Unnikrishnan (Unni) is part of the Palo Alto Networks regional management team that is responsible for the company’s growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific and Japan region. He runs strategic initiatives across the region to help industry, academia, and government organization be more cyber-savvy and improve their cyber prowess to have a breach prevention based infrastructure.

 

Unni has worked in the technology sector for over 20 years including management roles in marketing, strategy, partnership and sales. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, Unni was the APAC Marketing Director of Brocade Communications, responsible for executing the Brocade strategy across the region with a key focus on growing the IP business in the region. Before joining Brocade, Unni spent ten years in Sun Microsystems in marketing, tele-web, sales and partnering leadership roles. In his last stint at Sun as Corporate Director and part of the executive leadership team, he was responsible for building the Sun Microsystems brand and demand across the Emerging Markets Region (Latin America, Central Europe, Middle East Africa, Greater China and India). Before joining Sun, Unni headed the marketing operations for Parametric Technology Corp India.

  

Unni is in the APAC Advisory Board of the CMO Council and immediate past Chairman of the Cloud Computing Chapter, Singapore Info-comm Technology Federation (SiTF). He holds an engineering and an MBA degree with leadership courses from Stanford Graduate Business School and Singapore Management University.

Vasudevan Venkatakrishnan

With over 15 years experience in telecom industry, Vasudevan is the Business Development Director for Ruckus Wireless across Service Provider and Special projects. He has been with Ruckus for 5 ½ years now and in his previous role was heading pre-sales engineering team in Asia Pacific region, responsible for providing Ruckus customers and channel partners technical consulting and network designs to realize pervasive performance in their wireless networks across various verticals. Vasudevan also represents Ruckus in industry conferences and forums to build the company’s thought leadership, and discuss with telecom executives about technological trends and directions. Currently he also leads the Smart city / IOT and OpenG initiatives for Ruckus across APAC.
