Keynote 6

Topic: Technology Revolution and the Future of Data Privacy
For CIOs and their legal advisors, it has often been a case of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole when trying to implement new technologies within the framework of data privacy laws and regulations. However, times are changing. New data privacy rules in Europe, Asia and elsewhere are finally trying to catch up with developments in technology. But is it too little, too late? In this session, we will look at recent and forthcoming developments in data privacy laws in Asia and beyond, and what these mean in practice for organisations' IT and online operations. We will also consider the evolving role of data privacy in light of advances in technology.
